We're thrilled to be able to announce Joan As Policewoman is confirmed to
play the main stage on Friday night, just in time for the London launch
party tonight.
A truly unique artist, Joan Wasser served as violinist in Anthony & The
Johnsons and Rufus Wainwright's band (as well as hanging out with Jeff
Buckley and also performing with Nick Cave, Scissor Sisters and Elton John)
before stepping out as Joan As Policewoman. Mercury prize-winner, Johnson
appears on her debut album, 'Real Life,' a genre-defying but imediately
accessible, soulful but off-kilter, shimmering art-pop classic, which also
featured JAPW regulars Rainy Orteca on bass and Ben Perowsky on drums.
